Which shape for which line
A line-by-line guide to our six shapes, and when to use two together.
The short answer
Match the shape to the line. Grooves for horizontal forehead lines, Y-Shape for the 11s, Jet for both at once, Curve or Triangle to spot-target smaller lines, and Dolphin for broader laugh and marionette lines.
The quick guide
Triangle
Spot patch · small
Any single line: forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, smile and marionette lines.
Curve
Spot patch · curved
Follows curved lines: crow’s feet, frown lines, smile and marionette lines, chin crease.
Y-Shape
Medium coverage
Frown lines between the brows (the 11s). Also fits under the eyes and along smile lines.
Grooves
Broad coverage
Horizontal lines across the forehead.
Jet
Broad coverage
Forehead and frown lines in one patch.
Dolphin
Broad coverage
Smile and marionette lines around the mouth.
Why the shape matters
Every face creases differently. A patch that’s too big lifts at the edges; one that’s too small misses part of the line. Our founder, a makeup artist from Tokyo, drew each shape to follow a particular line or contour, so you choose by the line rather than cutting up a one-size sheet.
Covering a larger area
Two or more patches can be placed side by side to cover more skin. On a wider forehead, for example, use two Grooves next to each other.
